My dad always said, “You can never have enough friends.”

After spending my life in business, I have developed many relationships and friendships.

One friendship I like to keep alive is that of Mike Robinson. Mike was a great Sure Flow employee who passed away from cancer in 2004.

Mike was hard working and liked by everyone. He was our Check Valve specialist and was always willing to do whatever it took to make sure our customers were happy.

Mike was quick on his feet and somehow ended up with the nickname “Ratboy” that he seemed pretty comfortable with. He had a great sense of humor so was always able to roll with the punches.

When we moved to our new location in 2005 and immediately doubled the size of the warehouse, I named the passage between the old building and the new one “Ratboy Alley.”

Our time here on this planet is short, and I am grateful for the time that I shared with Mike. We miss him both as an employee and even more so, as a friend.
